The first year flies by faster than anyone expects - suddenly your tiny newborn is full of personality, taking wobbly steps and flashing cheeky smiles. A cake smash session is the perfect way to celebrate this joyful milestone and capture the playful, expressive spirit of your one year old.

These sessions are all about fun, laughter, and beautiful memories - combining timeless portraits, messy cake fun, and a bubbly bath to finish. Every detail is thoughtfully styled to create images you’ll love looking back on for years to come.

In the studio, you can relax while I guide your little one through the session - from their first curious look at the cake to the big, icing-covered grin that follows! 

 

WHEN TO BOOK

Cake smash sessions are usually scheduled 2–4 weeks before your baby turns one, so you can have your final gallery ready in time for birthday celebrations or party invitations. However, sessions can take place at any point around their first birthday, depending on what suits your schedule.

All cakes are professionally baked to order and styled with a balloon garland in colours of your choice. You’ll be able to share your preferences on your booking form so everything is tailored to your vision.

 

WHAT TO EXPECT

We’ll start with a clean, simple portrait setup - you're welcome to bring one or two outfits for this part. Then comes the main event: the cake smash! I’ll capture your little one’s curiosity, excitement (and sometimes confusion!) as they explore their cake. Once they’ve had their fun, we finish with a warm, bubbly splash bath, which not only makes for super cute photos but helps baby leave clean and happy.

My style is soft and playful, with a focus on natural expressions and joyful moments. The result is a gallery that captures your little one’s unique personality at this wonderfully fun age.

If you’d like to book a cake smash session, simply get in touch via email or social media — I’d love to hear from you!

To secure your date, a £50 non-refundable booking fee is required. This covers your cake, balloon garland, and session prep, and will be deducted from your chosen package. The remaining balance is due 24 hours before your session.

I’ll send you a link to my booking form where you can let me know your baby’s name, any colour/theme preferences, and important details to help me prepare. 

 

LIMITED AVAILABILITY

Each cake smash session is carefully styled, which means I take on a limited number of bookings each month. To avoid disappointment, I recommend getting in touch early -especially if you’d like your gallery ready in time for birthday celebrations.
